"Patterns created when one or more colors are thrown onto the surface of a bath using a marbling brush.
The first colors thrown tend to constrict as others follow and become the ‘vein’ colors for the latter thrown inks.
However, Guyot added drops of ink sequentially and each new color was added to a specific spot, which allowed for the bath to remain open surrounding each multicolored spot and in turn allowed it to remain clear when he began combing through the bath to get the striped effect of his works.”
